- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I have been a patient of Dr. Rakes for over 5 years. I was originally referred to her for migraines, when other doctors were unable to help. Prior to seeing Dr. Rakes, I had tried a number of different medications to treat my frequent, severe migraines (both preventative and "as needed" medications). The medications other doctors prescribed either didn't work at all, or worked for a while then lost their effectiveness. Dr. Rakes spent a lot of time with me, trying to figure out the most effective treatment. We tried a couple different treatments (both in-office and prescribed) with limited success, but Dr. Rakes always seemed to be up-to-date on the latest migraine research, and she did find something that works really well for me. I now have an effective way of dealing with my migraines, and I really credit Dr. Rakes with that. She was able to help me when other doctors were at a dead end.
